::: Saying something about all this :::

These images have been deliberately chosen between several snapshots taken during some of my recent DJ club gigs and they fulfil the following relevant need:
they reveal my absolute love for that type of electronic sound that many still like to categorize as Industrial music. As usual, the prevalent need to label with a uniform, easy name the group of sounds carrying on structural analogies tends to overshadow two precise tendencies that have been emerging after 1997. |
| On the one side, this underground electronic universe has displayed the presence of an inner greater diversity and the main consequence of this element has been the identification of precise sub genres. On the other, the dominant role assumed by the electronic element over the synthesized acoustic one, has permitted the incorporation within this musical sub culture of both characters and attitudes that are usually associated with other electronic genres/scenes like for example the techno and the trance ones. This is the reason behind the tendency to consider myself more as a hard-beat elektro DJ rather than an industrial one and during my sets both melodic harmony and harshness are constantly researched while melting down tunes. | ![]() & Jerome / Mimetic: We Rule! It is this same music format that three years ago forced me to revolutionize my identity to the point of assuming the DJ role as an existential mission justified by the will of re-educating the musical sense of those approaching my club activity. Moved uniquely by obsessive passion for meaningful and deep club music, this activity has been built with careful attention, hard work and sacrifices. The firm desire is to give full exposure to music presenting the exact same dignity of all the other electronic vibes that heavily permeate club nights all over big urban landscapes of the Western sphere. |
| The experience accumulated in Canada has given me the opportunity to enjoy an enormous amount of sincere and meaningful fun but it has also disclosed to my eyes the complexity that lies beneath the superficial appearance usually related to this profession. It is not the pushing of the button 'play' of the equipment gear of the club where the performance is done to concretize the world of a DJ. Many factors end being involved here and the taking care of all of them is the fundamental point of the entire game. There is also the ingredient 'luck' in the alchemic solution without having it as the ruling emperor...but it helps! | ![]() Velvet Underground - Queen St. West Toronto – Canada (2001) |
